Sullivan & Cromwell Beats Cravath (For Certain Classes)

It's official: SullCrom is beating the market -- for some class years.

SULLIVAN & CROMWELL — MEMORANDUM — ASSOCIATE SALARIES

I am happy to inform you that you can view your personal compensation, effective July 1, 2016, by clicking on the link below.

Over the last several months we have been speaking to many of our lawyers, including the members of the Associate Experience Committee, to create new programs to further address the professional and personal needs of our lawyers.

To that end, in July the Firm will launch an Office of Career and Alumni Services, to be led by Rachel Marx Boufford, our returning alum. The Office will provide confidential and individualized career counseling to associates and alumni as they consider and explore opportunities within and outside of the Firm. This Office will serve as a conduit for connecting associates with our network of more than 3,000 S&C alumni that includes CEOs, general counsel, government officials, business and public service leaders and law school professors.

I am also happy to announce that we will be partnering with SoFi, First Republic Bank Co., and Citizens Bank in order to offer our lawyers the opportunity to refinance their student loans at significantly reduced rates. We’ve chosen to work with these three organizations as they collectively offer several options that can be customized to fit the financial needs of our lawyers. Additional details about these offerings will be made available to lawyers in the near term through a series of Associate Experience Committee open houses. We will make a lawyer experienced in these matters available to answer questions regarding the available options.

Thank you for all you do.
