Lawyerly Lairs

Lawyerly Lairs: Justice Neil Gorsuch’s House, On The Market For $1.7 Million

This house is handsome and conservative -- just like its owner, Justice Neil "Silver Fox" Gorsuch.

The library or study has still more gorgeous woodwork, plus a beautiful view:

The shelves are a bit bare, but I suspect that Justice Gorsuch has already shipped his books to D.C., and the decoration here is courtesy of a staging company.

The finished basement, all 2,000 square feet of it, is carpeted and spacious:

And lends itself to entertaining; maybe he has hosted law clerk reunions here? (I wonder how good Justice Gorsuch is at billiards.)

Here’s where then-Judge Gorsuch did his heavy lifting (of the literal rather than intellectual variety):

If Justice Gorsuch enjoys working out, maybe the Notorious RBG can hook NMG up with her celebrated personal trainer?

Supreme Court justices: they’re just like us! They sweat when they exercise, and then they have to do laundry (although judicial robes must get sent out for dry cleaning):

Front-loading washing machines are more efficient and environmentally friendly. Can we expect a “green” jurisprudence from Justice Gorsuch?

That’s it for the two lower levels. What about the top floor of the house?
