This is the most frightening costume of them all… the dreaded bar exam. Here’s what our finalist had to say about here costume: “I dressed up as the Bar Exam for our office’s Halloween party, after all the crap the NCBE and Board of Law Examiners put some of my colleagues and me through this year! Attached to my shirt are some items you are allowed to bring into the examination room, and attached to my blazer are a bubble sheet and a list of prohibited items.”
Last, and definitely least, is this year’s dishonorable mention. Pictured are Judge Learned Hand and “Sexy Ruth Bader Ginsburg.” At a time like this, when allegations of sexual harassment are in the news each and every day, we’re not quite sure why a costume like this needed to exist. We don’t think the Notorious one would appreciate it. We certainly didn’t. Plus, there’s no jabot, which is one of Justice Ginsburg’s most important identifying features. This get-up doesn’t even have the bare minimum to qualify as a Ruth Bader Ginsburg costume, but that’s probably because it wouldn’t be as “sexy” with the jabot. Please try harder next time.
