Right before Halloween, we asked our readers to submit their legally themed costumes to us for our annual contest. As usual, we got a great crop of entries, but we decided to narrow down the list in advance, because they were truly the best of the best.
We’ve got five finalists for you to choose from, and voting starts today. For the first time ever, we’ve also got a dishonorable mention. Who will be the winner of this year’s competition?
First up, we’ve got the Southwest Reporter and the Pacific Reporter, and they look like they’d be more fun to techcite from than the actual books in the library.
Schenck Price Competes Smarter With Lexis+ With Protégé
LexisNexis sat down with John Ursin, Managing Partner at Schenck Price, to learn how the firm is using legal AI to strengthen client service and daily legal work.

Next up, we’ve got one of your favorite cases from 1L year, International Shoe. Here’s what this finalist had to say about her costume: “In addition to the skirt, shoes, and general 1940s vibe, when people asked what I was I slipped my arm around their shoulders and said I was establishing minimum contacts for personal jurisdiction. The pickup line tended not to work on non-law students.” (Ed. note: I love this!)

Legal work isn’t slowing down, and the firms that win won’t be the ones working harder — they’ll be the ones working smarter.
