America’s most beloved Supreme Court justice will be on a speaking tour of sorts across several law schools in the Northeast in the coming weeks this winter.

Is your law school one of them?

On January 30, Justice Ginsburg will make an appearance at Roger Williams University School of Law for a “fireside chat” with Judge Bruce Selya of the First Circuit. According to Dean Michael Yelnosky, students are pretty pumped: “They are ecstatic. We’ve had justices here before — I’m not trying to cast aspersions — but she’s a cultural icon. She’s a rock star. This Notorious RBG thing is huge. It’s a combination of her being a true legal pioneer and someone who has a public persona and personality that people find very compelling.”

On February 5, Justice Ginsburg will head to the NYU School of Law where she’ll chat with Professor Kenji Yoshino about diversity and inclusion as part of the school’s Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging speaker series. NYU Law is the perfect place for Justice Ginsburg to speak, since it was at NYU Law that her pop culture nickname — the Notorious R.B.G. — originated thanks to Shana Knizhnik.

On February 6, Justice Ginsburg will travel across town to New York Law School, where she’ll be interviewed by Professor Nadine Strossen. Dean Anthony Crowell said that Ginburg’s “enduring influence on the court, and service as a role-model to generations of lawyers and law students, at a moment in time of such profound significance, cannot be overstated.” Chief Judge Robert Katzmann of the Second Circuit will also speak during the event.

On February 12, Justice Ginsburg will be honored at a symposium at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Ginsburg will interact with panelists including Slate editor Dahlia Lithwick, Judge Josh Owens of the Ninth Circuit, and Judge Jed Rakoff of the Southern District of New York, and she’ll take questions from law students. Later in the day, Ginsburg will dine with Penn Law faculty and then deliver the school’s Owen J. Roberts Memorial Lecture before a huge audience at the National Constitution Center. Dean Ted Ruger says “[a]ll the events are full, if not oversubscribed.”
