How Is Your Summer Associate Program? Because Steph Curry Is Hanging Out With These Summers

Most meet and greets with clients aren't this cool.

We’re well into summer associate season, and we’ve heard nary a peep about summers embarrassing themselves in epic fashion. No jumping off peers, no mooning fellow attorneys, no slapping senior associates, no hitting on partner spouses — all actually true stories from summers past. Just responsibility and diligence so far.

Millennials really are the worst.

Perhaps we’ll just have to highlight the firms who offer honestly awesome summer associate experiences for their people. Enter Wilson Sonsini, who set up a surprise visit for its summers from NBA Champ Steph Curry. You know, no big deal.

We just had the summer associate event of the century at Wilson Sonsini this past Friday. Our client, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors came to the firm as a surprise to celebrate their championship win two weeks ago. He mingled with associates and summer associates and took a bunch of photos after speaking to a crowd. Totally insane!

That looks like a fantastic event and a great opportunity for WSGR associates and summers. One of the perks of working in the Bay Area, I suppose. Meanwhile, I’m sure Cleveland-based Jones Day has invited J.R. Smith to highlight the firm’s commitment to careful planning and heads-up thinking.

Remember, if your firm has a great event, and especially if they have a disastrous one, be sure to send us a message over email or text (646-820-8477).
