Law School Bestows Fun Honor On Ruth Bader Ginsburg And Sandra Day O'Connor

The votes have been tallied and the osprey chicks that hatched atop the Knight Law Center at the University of Oregon now have names. Inspired by their law school home, the chicks have been dubbed by popular vote “Ruth Bader Ginsbird” and “Sandra Day O’Sprey.”

— The University of Oregon School of Law announcing the names of the newest addition to campus — two osprey chicks that reside in a nest on the law school’s roof. The nest has been there since 2014, when it was moved from above their athletic field. Rumor has it that the nest was moved there after a fish was dropped by a bird onto the track while runners were on the field. The osprey are popular at Oregon, and bird enthusiasts can watch the birds live online.
