In keeping with our practice of considering the year as a whole, we will continue to award performance-based individualized bonuses at the end of the year, rather than adopting two cycles. Our year-end bonuses often exceed market comparisons.
We always will evaluate what our peer firms do, but trust that the twenty-year history of our general compensation structure is the right fit for our Firm. To that end, we will pay our traditional summer bonus to all non-partner employees, including all associates, later this month.
We appreciated your patience as we studied the changes in the market. The decision to make this increase was carefully considered and is a reflection of how much we value your dedication and hard work to provide our clients the highest level of service and excellence. We are committed to provide competitive compensation to recruit and retain top talent, including each of you. As I’ve said before, we greatly appreciate all the work you do for the Firm and want this to be a place where you build and spend your careers.
