Invertebrate Chuck Schumer Makes Deal To Fast-Track Trump Judicial Nominees

The Republicans are better at fighting for what they believe in. It’s unfortunate that they believe in racism and misogyny, though, thank GOD they believe in that or else the Democratic Party would utterly collapse due to its own weakness.

No current Democrat epitomizes the cowardice and softness of Democratic Party leadership as much as Democratic Minority Leader Charles Schumer. When Kanye West said slavery was a choice, he should have been talking about Chuck Schumer. Schumer holds no real political power, yet represents a district (the state of New York) where he probably cannot be defeated. This should FREE Schumer to stand in moral and righteous opposition to the white supremacist takeover of America led by Donald Trump and his cabal of Senate and House Republicans.

Schumer should be the Charles de Gaulle of the resistance.

Instead, Schumer is O’Brien from 1984. He’s the guy who sucks you in only to sell you out.

A lot of people reading this are thinking “what did Schumer do now?” That’s how pathetic he is. It is completely in-character for Schumer to periodically sell out the entire party in exchange for Mitch McConnell’s handshake. He’s a weak-minded fool. His freaking epitaph should read: “These weren’t the droids we were looking for. McConnell can go about his business. Move along.”

Twitter lit up late Tuesday afternoon with the news that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had struck a deal with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to allow fast-track confirmation of 15 judicial nominees. The announcement came just days before the start of confirmation hearings of controversial Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and after nearly two years of court-packing by the Trump administration. Within a couple of hours of the announcement, seven of those judges had been confirmed to lifetime appointments.

Why? WHHHYYYYY? What could you have POSSIBLY gotten in exchange for looking the other way on 15 LIFETIME appointments — the very kind of appointments Mitch McConnell goes to the mattresses to block when a black President is in charge?

Talking to various colleagues, the consensus seemed to be that Schumer negotiated this deal to enable “red-state” Dems to get out earlier for recess so they could campaign. Others contended it may be part of a bigger deal in which Schumer traded lifetime appointments to the judiciary for documents from Kavanaugh’s time as White House counsel, documents they should have gotten anyway.

This isn’t trading the cow for magic beans. At least Jack had a deeply held belief that those bean were in fact magic. Schumer just traded the cow in exchange for the right to buy its milk back at fair market value.

Charles Schumer should resign. His entire play is to win back the Senate by selling the whole store, AND WHEN THAT DOESN’T WORK he should be forced to resign and cede what power he has to somebody with the strength to use it. The reign of gelatinous Democrats must end.
