After Judge Brings Up Treason, Will Michael Flynn Be Getting Jail Time?

This hearing got really weird, really quickly.

[A]rguably, you sold out your country. I’m going to be frank with you: This crime is very serious. I’m not hiding my disgust, my disdain for this criminal offense.

— Judge Emmet Sullivan, in comments made during Michael Flynn’s sentencing hearing, musing that he could not guarantee a sentence without prison time, despite the fact that the special counsel’s office recommended Flynn not serve any time. After suggesting Flynn may have committed treason, Judge Sullivan has postponed Flynn’s sentencing for the time being.
