How much does it cost to take a law professor to lunch? If that law professor is a celebrity, the going rate is apparently the low, low price of *record screech* $8,100.
According to Page Six, that’s what a first-year law student ponied up to take human rights professors Amal Clooney and Sarah Cleveland to lunch at Jean-Georges, one of New York City’s finest French restaurants. This luxurious culinary experience was up for grabs at Columbia Law School’s Public Interest Law Foundation auction, where students bid for the “right to food (and champagne!)” with the professors.
