Epic Law School Graduation Cake

Let them eat legal cake.

Anyone who has spent any time idly perusing the offerings of the Food Network or Cooking Channel has stumbled upon at least one baking competition show. And while watching kids flit around a kitchen trying to build an award-winning cupcake is all well and good, the most jaw-dropping shows involve someone securing a commission to bake a themed cake for some major life event and turning in some wildly inventive testament to edible creativity.

And why wouldn’t this trend extend to law school graduation? For the non-cynical among us, graduating from law school is still an exciting accomplishment worthy of celebration. The folks at Russo’s in Massachusetts sent us a shot of an awesome cake they produced for a law school graduate and it certainly looks like a festive day was had by all:

Apparently, even the textbooks and gavel are edible so someone had to say, “save me a gavel slice.”

Have you seen any other over-the-top graduation celebrations? Cakes, ice sculptures, parades… whatever it is, shoot us an email at tips@abovethelaw.com and let us know.
