Paul Hurdle, 71, commenting on what his first day of clerking was like for Judge Craig A. Karsnitz at the Superior Court of Delaware. Both of Hurdle’s co-clerks recently graduated from law school and are less than half his age. Hurdle is likely the oldest law clerk in the country. Prior to clerking, Hurdle was a partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge, and he remained at the firm after it was acquired by Dentons before retiring in 2016. “I quickly discovered that retirement didn’t suit me,” he said. He plans to take the Delaware bar this summer.
