Roy Moore's Lawyer Arrested

This would be his greatest embarrassment if it weren't for his extensive paper trail.

Failed Senate candidate Roy Moore is presently working very hard to become “two-time failed Senate candidate Roy Moore.” It’s a Quixotic campaign that would be genuinely cute if it weren’t for all the talk about groping 14-year-olds. But when the former judge inevitably has to face that renewed attention on the mountain of allegations of pervy activity toward underaged girls, he may not have his trusted attack dog by his side.

In his last election, Moore turned to Trent Garmon, a graduate of an unaccredited law school who was once suspended from practice for harassing the parents of a dead child. Garmon ran around cable news protesting Moore’s innocence while drafting incoherent letters and getting thoroughly mocked by anyone with a real grasp of the legal process. Now he’s been arrested on drug charges, a relatively minor thing until you remember that we’re talking about Alabama.

The attorney for former Senate candidate Roy Moore (R) was reportedly arrested Wednesday on charges of driving under the influence and drug possession.

Trenton Garmon, who worked for Moore in his unsuccessful 2017 campaign for the Alabama Senate seat, was arrested by police in Gadsden, Ala., and charged with driving under the influence of controlled substances, second-degree possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to AL.com.

Maybe Garmon should have taken a horse like his client.

UPDATE: Roy Moore has announced that he will “pray for him.” So that should really help Garmon get off the demon weed if the allegations are true. I mean, it’s the strategy that’s been so successful for mass shootings.
