J.Lo Helps Kim Kardashian Study For Law School, As One Does

Law school is officially part of Kim K's brand.

Kim Kardashian is combining two of her favorite things — criminal justice reform and making money — in the latest ad for Portal from Facebook.

To catch you up on the background: Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have teamed up in a series of ads for Facebook’s new video call technology, Portal. The advertisements are designed to make you feel as though you’re getting a glimpse into the celebrity life, as they workout or do beauty treatments in their respective homes, but are able to #FeelThere using Portal.

Also on background: Kim Kardashian is trying to become a lawyer. Though she isn’t actually in law school (not having a bachelor’s degree makes that tough), she is studying via apprenticeship to be a lawyer with plans to take the bar exam in 2022. And of course, because it is Kim, she’s taken to social media to document the process. She shared a criminal law issue spotter that cast Justin Bieber as a criminal mastermind, complained about the fact that law student life sucks, explained that she neglected her Keeping Up With the Kardashians livetweeting duties to keep up with torts homework, and she bailed on summer holiday festivities as she continued with her contracts homework. She even has a favorite law professor — University of Washington contracts professor Steve Calandrillo — that she’s shouted out on Insta.

Now these two facets of Kim’s life come together (where we’re supposed to believe a non-law student is actually willing to help someone study for law school):

Though I call bullshit on this being a real study session — there’s a lot less swearing than is normal.
