The 2021 U.S. News Law School Rankings Are Here

Check out some of the largest rankings tumbles and gains. Yikes!

With that out of the way, let’s take a sneak peek at the law schools outside of the Top 50, i.e., the law schools that make up the rest of the Top 100, starting with Nos. 53 through 74. This section of the rankings was especially erratic, with three ties, two three-way ties, one four-way tie, and one five-way tie. Here we saw one school rise like a phoenix with a double-digit gain.

Way to go, Texas A&M! Congratulations also go out to Loyola Chicago (+7), Penn State-Dickinson (+9), and Villanova Northeastern (+9). Well done! As for the lowest drops in this segment of the rankings, we’ve got Denver (-7), Temple (-8), and Tennessee (-11). Ooof.

Moving right along, let’s check out the schools that make up the bottom of the Top 100. This segment of the rankings is the most volatile yet, with one tie, four three-way ties, one five-way tie, and one seven-way tie.

Ouch, Brooklyn posted a 12-spot rankings drop, the most offensive drop in rank thus far in the 2021 edition the rankings. On the other hand, let’s shine a light on Lewis & Clark, which deserves some recognition for an 11-spot jump that put it into the Top 100 this year. Nice work!
