White & Case Showers Associates With Cash In Year-End Bonus Announcement

This elite firm is making it rain.

You know what’s sure to brighten up a Thursday afternoon during a pandemic? A bonus announcement from an elite firm.

White & Case, a firm that boasted $2,184,850,000 in 2019 gross revenue, earning it the No. 9 spot on the most recent Am Law 100 rankings, just showed associates the money with its Cravath bonus match.

Here’s what the White & Case 2020 year-end bonus scale looks like:

Class Year Year-End Bonus* Special Bonus**
Class of 2019 $15,000 $7,500
Class of 2018 $25,000 $10,000
Class of 2017 $50,000 $20,000
Class of 2016 $65,000 $27,500
Class of 2015 $80,000 $32,500
Class of 2014 $90,000 $37,000
Class of 2013 $100,000 $40,000
Class of 2012 $100,000 $40,000

See those asterisks? They’re important this year, because they represent which bonuses have hours requirements, and perhaps more importantly, which ones don’t. While White & Case is holding associates to a 2000-hour eligibility requirement for its year-end bonuses, the special bonuses have no hours requirement.

The firm will pay its special bonuses on December 31, 2020, and its regular bonuses on February 14, 2020. Congratulations to everyone at White & Case!
