Applications for the 2021-22 academic year are currently up more than 20% over the prior year, while this year’s class of law school hopefuls recorded huge increases in LSAT scores of 165 and over — with applicants in the highest tier of 175-180 increasing 99%.
Looking to explain these trends, experts cited potential driving factors as varied as the shortened LSAT Flex, a difficult job market for recent college grads, quarantine-era boredom, and generational idealism.
