The West Coast is the best coast… when it comes to bunches of Biglaw firms piling on to match the new salary scale, all at more or less the same exact time.
Yesterday afternoon, Gibson Dunn — a firm that placed 12th in the most recent Am Law ranking, with $2,160,542,000 gross revenue in 2020 — unleashed the good news for associates, who seemed quite pleased with their new salaries.
Here’s what the new salary scale looks like at the firm:
Early Adopters Of Legal AI Gaining Competitive Edge In Marketplace
- 2021: $202,500
- 2020: $205,000
- 2019: $215,000
- 2018: $240,000
- 2017: $275,000
- 2016: $305,000
- 2015: $330,000
- 2014: $350,000
- 2013: $365,000
New wages at the firm will be effective as of July 1, and summer associates will share in the largesse as well. Congratulations!
