Litigation Powerhouse Sends Associate Salaries To The Moon

With Cravath officially on board, a gaggle of West Coast firms decided it was high time to join the 2021 compensation wars yesterday afternoon, and rushed to raise salaries. Quinn Emanuel was one of them. The litigation powerhouse brought home $1,301,077,000 gross revenue in 2020, and now the firm’s associates and of counsel will be able to share in that wealth through a Davis Polk match.

Here’s what the new salary scale looks like at the firm:

  • 2021: $202,500
  • 2020: $205,000
  • 2019: $215,000
  • 2018: $240,000
  • 2017: $275,000
  • 2016: $305,000
  • 2015: $330,000
  • 2014: $350,000
  • 2013: $365,000

Per the memo, salaries at the firm’s international offices will be discussed locally, so it sounds like everyone will be getting a raise of some sort. Congratulations to everyone at Quinn Emanuel on the great news!
