Top 10 Firm Shows Associates Exactly How Much They’re Valued

Let the salary war continue.

Of course White & Case has joined the parade of Biglaw firms raising associate salaries. They are the number 8 firm on the Am Law 100 with $2,387,800,000 in gross revenue last year. And you don’t get to the top of Biglaw without grasping some basics about the legal industry. Right now, it’s clear as day that if a Biglaw firm wants to be able to recruit and retain the best lawyers, they simply must get on board with the new $205,000 pay scale.

And that’s exact what White & Case is doing.

Starting July 1, the following pay scale will be in effect at White & Case:

Yes, summer associates will also benefit from this new compensation grid. Raises for counsel and more senior attorneys will be decided on an individualized basis.
