There are two weeks left in July, and the associate compensation increases just keep on coming. Better late than never is the motto when it comes to the latest round of salary wars, and associates could not be happier about the news.
The latest firm to raise salaries is Axinn Veltrop & Harkrider, a midsize firm specializing in antitrust and IP matters, with offices in New York, D.C., San Francisco, and Hartford. Attorneys at the firm received word about the increases — “which will bring [] salaries in line with recent market changes” — late last week. All associates, summer associates, and counsel will find out sometime this week what their new salaries will be.
Has the firm truly matched the Davis Polk scale, or will salaries instead be based on those raises, but individualized? We suppose lawyers at the firm will soon find out.
