This Lawyer Keeps Score For Steph Curry When He's Done With His In-House Work

This is one of the coolest side gigs in the world for a sports fan.

As a lawyer with ethical obligations, I’m used to the straight-and-narrow. I’m kind of the court reporter, no pun intended.

— Kevin Chung, senior counsel for employment law and human resources compliance at cybersecurity firm Proofpoint Inc., commenting on his new part-time job as official scorer for the Golden State Warriors. Chung, a self-described basketball junkie, would never leave his job as an in-house attorney to keep score on a full-time basis. “If I did every side gig, college team or otherwise, each week, it wouldn’t come close to what I earn in my fortunate and amazing job at Proofpoint,” he said.
