Money transfer concept – $100 US dollar banknote with blurred motion effect.Associates at Biglaw firms that weren’t among the first to match Milbank’s new salary scale certainly had a long weekend — even associates at some of the wealthiest law firms in the country. Luckily, one of our nation’s Biglaw behemoths just came through for its U.S. associates.

Baker McKenzie, a firm that brought in $2,899,834,000 gross revenue in 2020, making it the No. 4 firm in the latest Am Law 100 ranking, announced today that it would be matching the new prevailing salary scale. The firm matched the moment Davis Polk one-upped Milbank during the last round of raises, and this time, took the weekend to let the dust to settle before matching.

Here’s Baker McKenzie’s new salary scale:

The firm’s salary increases are retroactive to January 1, and associates will see more money in their February 11 paychecks. Congratulations to everyone!
