What’s the best way to do away with a case of the Mondays? Probably by sending associates and counsel an early morning Milbank match memo!
That’s exactly what happened today at the Elias Law Group, a boutique firm that was formed less than a year ago by Marc Elias, formerly a partner at Perkins Coie. Our 2020 Lawyer of the Year basically took the top 50 Am Law firm’s entire political law practice group with him to bring democracy to the people, and now his boutique is rewarding attorneys with higher salaries for all of their early successes.
This is what the new-and-improved salary scale looks like at Elias Law Group:
“We are committed to attracting and retaining top talent, and we understand that competitive compensation is a critical element to achieving that goal,” the firm notes in its first-ever match memo (available in full on the next page). Attorneys will see their new salaries reflected in their February paychecks, retroactive to January 1, 2022.
