Top 20 Biglaw Firm Adopts Davis Polk Salary Scale, Includes London Associates
We're going international with these raises now.
How many Davis Polk matches will Biglaw see today? Firms of all stripes are finally coming out of hiding to adopt the compensation leader’s brand new pay scale, and they can’t seem to match it quickly enough.
The latest entrant in the 2022 salary wars is Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, a firm ranked at No. 14 in the most recent Am Law 100. Having brought in $1,844,627,000 gross revenue in 2020, the firm can definitely afford these raises. Here’s what the DPW salary scale looks like at STB:
As a little cherry on top, Simpson seems to be taking this cash across the pond to its office in London, where English law qualified associates with sterling-based compensation will receive proportionate salary increases.
