Yeehaw! Texas Biglaw Firm Lassos Some New York Bonuses For Associates

VINSON & ELKINS — MEMO — 2022 YEAR–END BONUSES

As we come to the end of another strong year, we are pleased to announce that the Firm will again be awarding market bonuses to qualifying Associates for 2022 performance. Your hard work and commitment to our clients and to one another is a key part of Vinson & Elkins’ success, and we are appreciative of all that you do. In addition to the amounts listed below, consistent with past practice, the Firm expects to pay supplemental bonuses to Associates who had an exceptional year.

The base market bonuses for qualifying Associates in all of the Vinson & Elkins offices will be as follows:

2022 $15,000 (prorated)
2021 $  20,000
2020 $  30,000
2019 $  57,500
2018 $  75,000
2017 $  90,000
2016 $105,000
  2015+ $115,000
All bonus amounts (including our above-market supplemental bonuses) will be paid consistent with the Firm’s Associate Bonus Plan. Associates must be in good standing and employed by the Firm on the date of payment to receive bonuses. Bonus amounts will be included in the January 31, 2023 payroll run.

Supplemental bonus amounts for Associates and bonuses for Counsel will be determined on an individual basis with input from Practice Group Leaders and Talent Leads and will be communicated before the end of January.
