The New York legal community experienced a gruesome loss yesterday, when an employee at a midsize law firm in Manhattan jumped from a 10th floor window, taking his own life.
According to the New York Daily News, a 30-year-old mailroom clerk at Satterlee Stephens plunged to his death shortly before 1:00 p.m. His name has not yet been released. He died at the scene.
The New York Post spoke with a FedEx employee who knew the man, having made frequent deliveries to him at the firm. He said, “I saw him on Friday … He was quiet and on his phone. It looked like he was stressed as hell.”
