There were about forty to fifty protesters, according to the Hartford Courant and the Middletown Press, and some of the protesters were families with kids. I suspect that four-year-old Connor Garrett would rather have been at home watching cartoons than “struggl[ing] to hold his ‘Look Mom No Future’ sign in the stiff wind,” as the Courant put it.
