Mid-to-Senior Corporate M&A Associate or Counsel

Kinney Recruiting is working closely with the hiring team of a large law firm's San Francisco office on a search for a corporate M&A associate with four (4) to seven (7) years of experience. The firm would be willing to promote a strong senior associate to counsel. The winning candidate will be part of a practice group that includes the co-managing partner of California, technology sector co-heads with deep M&A expertise, and cross-practice tax and tech-trans specialists. Because the California team is small (10 associates), senior associates take lead roles on transactions and have direct client contact. The partners in this office are invested in associate development and growth and are known to be approachable and hands-on. In addition, unlike some other Northern California offices of large firms, this office is located in San Francisco, making it an easy office to commute to. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior associate who wishes to stand out and have real opportunity for promotion. The firm is willing to relocate a strong candidate to San Francisco. A JD from a nationally ranked law school is required. Admission, or ability to gain admission, to the California bar is required. Associate compensation follows the New York "Cravath scale".
