3. Kolesar & Leatham: Here’s some background, from the nomination squib:
In May 2011, Kolesar & Leatham, a prominent Las Vegas-based business law firm relocated into new office space at Tivoli Village at Queensridge, the newest mixed-use developments in Las Vegas. The move to the new office at Tivoli Village was significant not only for its impeccable design but also because it was the first move for the growing law firm in over 20 years.
Kolesar & Leatham was the first office tenant to sign a lease agreement at Tivoli Village. The law firm occupies approximately 30,000 square feet of top-floor, Class A office space within the mixed-use urban lifestyle development in northwestern Las Vegas that offers views via floor to ceiling windows of the Las Vegas Strip and the Red Rock mountains.
Tivoli Village looks very appealing. Mary Kate describes it as “a contender for the best exterior — gorgeous red building in a really nice plaza.” See for yourself (click to enlarge):

What about the interior? The nominator explains:
Within the office space, Kolesar & Leatham worked with top flight design and construction professionals to create a modern and productive workspace that was also comfortable and inviting. The law firm took advantage of the latest law office designs and features to create a space that could accommodate the firm’s current needs as well as allow for future growth.
The interior design of the law office pays tribute to the overall design theme of Tivoli Village, which offers a Mediterranean feel. The law office melds warm earth tones such as chocolate and gold with rich materials, including Italian marble and custom-cut cherry wood. Furniture, while modern and plush in design, is comfortable and inviting to guests and employees alike. The office features high ceilings, open spaces, two kitchens (catering and employee), seven conference rooms, offices for visiting attorneys, and amenities such as accessible, furnished balconies highlighting panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding mountains, and a lobby area more akin to a 5-star hotel lobby than a commercial office.
The comparison to a five-star hotel is on-point; some might find the interiors too much like a Vegas resort. But I quite like them (not surprisingly, since I quite like Vegas resorts):

As federal borrowing caps tighten financing options for law students, one organization is stepping in to negotiate the terms they can't secure alone.
The conference rooms look classy but also comfy, which is perfect for hours-long meetings (as usual, click to enlarge):
We put Kolesar & Leatham in the same “sleek and modern” category as Greenberg Traurig and Proskauer Rose, and those two Biglaw behemoths prevailed in the end. But there’s no denying that this Las Vegas law firm has a very strong hand.
Our last honorable mention is colorful and distinctive….
