Dear DLLP Attorneys and Summer Associates,
Over the course of the last few days, several of the leading law firms in the New York market have announced an increase in their associate salaries — finally coming up to match what we at DLLP had been paying our associates all along. On behalf of the partnership, I am pleased to announce that Desmarais LLP has decided to adhere to its philosophy of paying above-market compensation to its associates. Accordingly, effective July 1, 2016, we will be increasing our associate salaries to maintain our position ahead of the market:
Class of 2015: $200,000
Class of 2014: $210,000
Class of 2013: $230,000
Class of 2012: $255,000
Class of 2011: $280,000
Class of 2010: $300,000
Class of 2009: $320,000
Class of 2008: $335,000
Effective July 1, 2016, we will be increasing our summer associate salaries to $3,500 per week.
Schenck Price Competes Smarter With Lexis+ With Protégé
LexisNexis sat down with John Ursin, Managing Partner at Schenck Price, to learn how the firm is using legal AI to strengthen client service and daily legal work.
In addition, the firm will continue to provide its market leading benefits package, including: (i) covering the full cost of health insurance for associates and their families; (ii) contributing 4% of associate salaries annually to their 401(k) accounts (up to IRS limits), and paying above-market year-end bonuses.
Thank you all for your continued excellent work.
Sincerely,
Jd
