And they were like, ‘You son of a [gun], you’ve been talking about this for five years, and you did it. You really did it.’

Last year, Bachman left the firm to become the defensive coordinator for Catholic University’s Division III football team, and in May, he was promoted to interim head coach. “[T]o leave Williams & Connolly to come over here and try to win football games would be such a shallow existence,” he said. Instead, Bachman wants to teach his players valuable lessons and make differences in their lives.
