We’ve got some very sad news today, coming to us from Orlando, Florida. One of the largest plaintiffs’ firms in the country lost one of their own in a tragic shooting yesterday morning, and police are currently on the hunt for the killer.
Breanna Walker, 24, a member of the support staff at Morgan & Morgan — a firm with more than 300 lawyers and more than 2,000 employees — was shot and killed while on her way to work. Walker had just dropped her infant child off at a daycare facility in someone’s home when she was shot in her car, while still in the driveway of the home.
Matt Morgan, an attorney at the firm, said employees are in mourning:

Breanna Walker
Breanna Walker was a young mother whose life was violently and senselessly taken this morning just after she dropped off her precious child at daycare on her way to our offices,” attorney Matt Morgan said in a statement. “We have few details about what happened, but we do know Breanna was loved by her coworkers at Morgan & Morgan, who are having a difficult time accepting this horrible news.
She will be missed by all who knew her. At this time we ask you to join us in prayers for Breanna’s child, friends and family.
Thus far, no arrests have been made. If you have any information related to the fatal shooting, please call the Orlando Crimeline, at 1-800-423-8477.
We here at Above the Law would like to extend our condolences to Breanna Walker’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May her killer be swiftly brought to justice in the wake of her brutal slaying.
