Nancy Pelosi Isn't Taking Impeachment Off The Table For Donald Trump

The House Speaker isn't afraid to flex some legal muscle against the president.

We shouldn’t be impeaching for a political reason, and we shouldn’t avoid impeachment for a political reason.

— House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, commenting on the prospect of impeaching President Donald Trump after the Mueller report is released, during a wide-ranging interview with Savannah Guthrie of the TODAY show. Pelosi also mentioned that she doesn’t think the Justice Department’s guidance against indicting a sitting president is “conclusive,” but followed up by saying “everything indicates” that a “president can be indicted after he is no longer president of the United States.”
