Don't Worry, Law Schools, The New 75 Percent Bar Pass Requirement Is Actually Easy To Beat

If you can game the rankings, you can probably game this too.

In some ways it’s easier to comply with this standard because you only have to be in compliance every other year. That’s a tough place to be because you’re living on the edge, and some schools will be coming extremely close.

Barry Currier, the ABA’s managing director of legal education and accreditation, commenting on the relative “ease” some law schools that are afraid of their ultimate bar passage rates may have when it comes to compliance with the law school accrediting body’s new 75 percent bar passage rate requirement. At at May council meeting, Currier noted that schools that may initially appear to be out of compliance are sometimes able to demonstrate that they are, in fact, meeting accreditation requirements.
