Some boutique firms have a habit of beating the market on bonuses, and Selendy & Gay is one of them. You may recall that back in June, the firm told associates that it intended to come over the top when year-end bonuses came around. The firm stayed true to its word, and this is a good reminder that elite boutiques are routinely killing it.
Today, Selendy & Gay announced their base bonuses for associates, and for the fourth year in a row, the firm is exceeding the prevailing market scale for Biglaw bonuses. Check out Selendy’s bonus scale (and note that some midlevel and senior associates received even more bonus money than what’s listed below, “based on a holistic assessment of performance”):

AI Is Reshaping Legal Practice—But Tools Aren’t The Real Differentiator.
Explore the mindset, cultural shifts, and training strategies that define the AI‑savvy lawyer, revealing why human judgment, standardized competence, and integrated learning—not technology alone—will shape the future of the profession.
Jennifer Selendy, the firm’s co-managing partner, had this to say about the firm’s decision to share the wealth with their associates:
“We had a great year representing clients in new and complex commercial cases and weighty, public interest matters. We know that all these successes would not be possible without the excellent work of our associates, and our well-deserved bonuses recognize their outstanding contributions.”
Congratulations to everyone at Selendy & Gay on closing out a fantastic year!
