Elite Firm Offers Big Money To Delighted Associates
The firm really values associates!
Good news for folks eagerly tracking the associate raises making their way around the legal industry — they’re not over yet!
The latest firm to spread the love (read: money) is D.C.-based litigation boutique Wilkinson Stekloff. They recently announced to associates that they too would be getting raises set to the Cravath scale. In reality, it isn’t a surprise — the firm has proven in the past it has what it takes to meet (or even beat) Biglaw compensation.
Here’s the new compensation scale at the firm:
Class Year | Salary | |
Class of 2021 | $215,000 | |
Class of 2020 | $225,000 | |
Class of 2019 | $250,000 | |
Class of 2018 | $295,000 | |
Class of 2017 | $345,000 | |
Class of 2016 | $370,000 | |
Class of 2015 | $400,000 | |
Class of 2014 and senior | $415,000 |
A tipster at the firm noted this is actually they second set of raises at the firm — in late February, they matched the then-prevailing market rate, and upped the comp number last week to match the new standard. Our source noted, “Associates continue to be pleased that Firm leadership acknowledges and rewards their contributions.”
Counsel compensation will be individualized and communicated separately. These raises will be retroactive to January 1. You can read the memo on the next page.
