The Raise Race Ain't Over Yet: Elite Firm Increases Associate Salaries Once Again
Very exciting news!
While some unlucky associates are busy waiting for their firms to make their first salary moves of the year, others are now receiving their second round of raises. Hooray for April showers — of Cravath cash!
Selendy Gay Elsberg — a firm formerly known as Selendy & Gay — is known for its market-beating bonuses, and the firm is yet again boosting its salaries for associates. If you recall, the firm last adopted the then-prevailing Davis Polk salary scale back in February. Here’s an excerpt from the firm’s memo:
Driven by our commitment to pay associates market-leading compensation, we are pleased to announce the Firm is further increasing associate salaries for class years 2018 and below.
And with that, here’s Selendy’s new salary scale:
Class Year | Salary |
2021 | $215,000 |
2020 | $225,000 |
2019 | $250,000 |
2018 | $295,000 |
2017 | $345,000 |
2016 | $370,000 |
2015 | $400,000 |
2014+ | $415,000 |
The new salaries at the firm are retroactive to January 1. Congratulations to everyone at the firm!
