— Daniel Walters, a professor at Texas A&M University School of Law, in comments given to Bloomberg Law, on whether the Fifth Circuit will grow more conservative under president-elect Donald Trump’s second term in the White House. Six of the circuit’s 17 judges are eligible to take senior status, and four of them were nominated by Republican presidents. These judges are considered to be much more moderate than the six who joined the court during Trump’s first term.
