Following yesterday’s news that a brutal stabbing victim found in a D.C. hotel was DLA Piper associate David Messerschmitt, there have been a few developments. First, we’ve learned that Messerschmitt had been missing for some time, with the family saying they reported Messerschmitt missing a full 24 hours before police found his body. Second, police have now released video of a man woman [earlier police statements used a male pronoun, at this time the consensus is that the subject is a woman] they consider a “person of interest” in the case.
