— Preet Bharara, former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, recounting a tale from the early 2000s, when he and Joon Kim, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District, were repeatedly referred to as “Harold and Kumar” by an agent in the office. Harold and Kumar were the protagonists in a film about the drug-addled adventures of two friends, one Korean-American and one Indian-American. A spokeswoman for the Southern District has confirmed that Kim was the Harold to Bharara’s Kumar.
