If There Is An F.B.I. Investigation Into Kavanaugh, Another Yale Law Alum Will Be In Charge

Yale Law School will never be free of Brett Kavanaugh.

If all that happens from the Brett Kavanaugh experience is that the next Supreme Court nominee — whoever he or she is and whenever he or she is nominated — is NOT from Yale Law School or Harvard Law School, it would be something. The incestuous grip of the top law schools on many of the levers of justice in this country has been unmasked. For the love of Christ, there are 203 other ABA-accredited law schools out there. Let’s try any place else.

If you’ve been following along, you know that Jeff Flake (and not Lisa Murkowski and Joe Manchin) have asked for a one-week delay in the floor vote for Brett Kavanaugh, so that an F.B.I. investigation can be conducted into the claims against him.

The only person who can order the F.B.I. to do this is Donald Trump. He can order his handpicked F.B.I. director, Chris Wray, to re-open the background check into Kavanaugh.

I had forgotten this, but Chris Way is a proud graduate of Yale Law School. And he went to Yale for college. Just like Brett Kavanaugh. Listen to your friend, Mike Sacks:

Guardian reporter Stephanie Kirchgaessner notes that there is another player who’s part of the Yale mafia:

At least in regards to the Deborah Ramirez allegations, Chris Wray probably knows or knows of some of the key witnesses to Kavanaugh’s behavior.

Wray was picked by Trump to replace James Comey. Comey at least had the good sense to go to Chicago Law School.

I’m not going to impugn Wray’s ability to conduct a fair and proper investigation into his… schoolmate. But every time you ask questions about one of these elite white men, there seems to be another elite white man in charge of asking those questions.

Seriously folks, next time, we need to nominate somebody from SouthNorthEastern Conservatory Of LawZoom. Screw this. Pick a lawyer off a subway ad next time. At this point, I’d trust a lawyer’s Yelp reviews as a more impartial vetting process than what has happened with Kavanaugh.

UPDATE: An earlier version of this story said Comey went to Columbia, which he didn’t.
