HOT IN-HOUSE JOB! – SENIOR TITLE INSURANCE UNDERWRITING COUNSEL

Our client, a NATIONAL, FORTUNE 500 COMPANY, and leader in financial, title insurance and escrow services, is seeking experienced Senior Title Underwriting Counsel for in-house, hybrid roles in Stamford, CT and Tarrytown, NY.

These roles advise on complex real estate title matters, including underwriting guidance, risk analysis, and transactional support.

Candidate qualifications are as follows:
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active Bar Admission in Connecticut or New York, as applicable, in good standing.
• 5+ years of substantive experience in commercial title insurance underwriting.
• Understanding of title insurance underwriting for real estate transactions and policy issuance.
• Ability to interpret and apply title underwriting standards within delegated authority limits.
• Solid knowledge of CT and/or NY real estate transactions, title insurance, and land and loan closing/settlement processes.
• Must be familiar with applicable real estate law, including federal and state regulations.
