Alina Habba (headshot from Habba Madaio LLP)
Fresh off of Donald Trump’s reference to “Ron DeSanctimonious,” a.k.a. Ron DeSantis, two of Trump’s lawyers issued a warning to the Florida governor. Alina Habba appeared at a Trump rally in Dayton, OH, yesterday.
As reported by the Daily Beast, Habba appeared on YouTube channel Right Side Broadcasting Network, saying, “DeSantis is DeSantis because of Trump.” She continued, “He needs to stay in Florida.” And a second Trump lawyer, Christina Bobb, responded: “100% percent.” And they went on:

Designed to reduce manual docket work by prioritizing what litigators need most: on-demand full docket summarization that explains the whole case to date, followed by on-demand document summaries for filing triage, and AI-powered natural language searching for faster search and retrieval.
Habba proceeded to double down, stating: “Just stay where you are. You are doing a great job in Florida.” Offering additional unsolicited advice to DeSantis, she said: “Don’t jump the gun. He’s not ready yet.”
I guess, despite the threatened litigation, Habba thinks Trump will be announcing a run for president pretty soon.
This isn’t the first time Habba’s wild comments have garnered attention. It seems her political aspirations outstrip her legal degree.
