Boutique Firm Announces Bonuses ‘Significantly’ Above Market Rates
It’s time for more money at this law firm!
In the race to match Milbank’s generous year-end and special bonuses, boutique law firms have consistently pulled ahead of the prevailing market rate, offering associates more and more money, time and again. The latest boutique firm to announce bonuses is no different.
Perry Law, a litigation boutique that launched in June 2023, is once again offering associates bonuses that beat the Biglaw market standard. As noted yesterday by founding partner E. Danya Perry in a compensation memo, the firm — which paid $5,000 more than market for each class year as recently as last year — is now paying out bonuses that “significantly exceed the Cravath/Milbank rate (including special bonuses).”
Perry Law saw “tremendous success” this year, and the firm’s work has grown by “leaps and bounds,” which may explain its bigger bonuses. All attorneys will receive their bonuses by or before the end of 2024.
